According to a book published by the researchers of University of Kansas, there are several evidences that suggest that black drivers are more likely being pulled over minor violations than that of the white drivers, who are mainly pulled over for excessive speeding.

• Another case is of Anthony Promvongsa, who was confronted by the police and within a matter of few seconds he was pulled out of his car by Agent Joe Joswiak of the Buffalo Ridge Drug Task Force. He was then punched and elbowed several times by the cop while he was still restrained by his seat belt. Again Agent Joe Joswiak threw Anthony on the ground and pressed his knee to the back of Anthony’s neck while he and Sgt. Tim Gaul of the Worthington Police Department applied handcuffs.
